Vanguard Announces Results of Unitholder Meeting of Vanguard Global Credit Bond Fund

TORONTO, Sept. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vanguard Investments Canada Inc. (“Vanguard”) announced the results of the special meeting of unitholders of Vanguard Global Credit Bond Fund (the “Fund”) held yesterday (the “Meeting”). At the Meeting, unitholders of the Fund approved the change to the investment objective of the Fund, as contemplated in the management information circular dated July 14, 2026.

The change to the investment objective of the Fund will occur on or about September 15, 2026. On the same date, the name, fund type, investment strategies, management fee for certain series, and reference index of the Fund will be changed as follows:

  • The name of the Fund will change from “Vanguard Global Credit Bond Fund” to “Vanguard Global Core-Plus Bond Fund”;
  • The fund type will change from “Global Fixed Income” to “Global Core Plus Fixed Income”;
  • The investment strategies of the Fund will be adjusted to implement the new investment objective;
  • The management fee for Series F units and Series M units of the Fund will be reduced from 0.40% and 0.38%, respectively, to 0.25% and 0.23%, respectively; and
  • The reference index used to calculate the risk rating of the Fund will change from Bloomberg Global Aggregate Credit Index (CAD Hedged) to Bloomberg U.S. Universal Bond CAD-Hedged Index.
